[ She's starting to feel the same way. It's embarrassing because she shouldn't be this... dependent on someone else being around and then getting like this when they aren't. She's stronger than this.
[ It's bad enough she feels the need to ask this of him at all. But she knows she would rather cuddle with him than stay awake all night. Or, worse, curl up with a bottle.
She goes down and does just that, sitting down on the bottom step of the stairs while she waits. ]
[ A short while later, Eggsy enters to see Peggy at the very lowest step of the flight of stairs, which is very symbolic as to what mood she's in - as low as she could possibly be. ]
Hey. [ There's enough room for him to sit beside her, wrap an arm around her and encourage her head to rest on his shoulder. He doesn't ask her to talk; they can sit in silence, whatever she wants. But Eggsy's here for her. ]
[ Peggy doesn't want to think she's being that dramatic about it all but she can't really deny the low mood. Especially when she wastes no time in leaning against Eggsy as soon as his arm is around her. Knees still drawn up to her chest and mout pressed to the back of her folded hands.
[ She knows how few of those she has. Real friends. Just one more reason for all the gratitude she feels. She sniffs softly, still leaning against him. ]
