[ That night Eggsy accidentally fell asleep at Harry's, he shared things with Eggsy that made the young man worry about his (former?) mentor. So in the days that pass without any contact between them, Eggsy feels nothing but anxious. He thinks about texting Harry but he doesn't know what to say. 'How are the nightmares?' Shit as usual, Eggsy imagined. That was a dumb question. Everything he came up with saying to Harry sounded so dumb. So every half-written message to Harry is left unsent until Eggsy gives up on the idea altogether.
If Harry wants to talk to him, he'll seek Eggsy out. Until then, Eggsy distracts himself with girls and underwear that shockingly brings them to the yard.
(Nobody is around to see Eggsy's face light up when he finally hears from Harry, but if someone was, Eggsy would deny it.) ]
[harry would be lying if he didn't need a bit of time himself--to recompose, to think about the fact that he's finally spoken to someone about what haunts him at night even if it's marginal. but he had the fucking brilliant idea of dumping it all on eggsy. eggsy, who sometimes still looks at him (when he thinks harry doesn't notice) like he might disappear if he blinks too fast, or like he's second guessing any of this could be real.
he'd never wanted to leave eggsy with any of that, least of all after such a terrible argument before he parted ways. but perhaps the best part about eudio is attempting to pick up the pieces and settle into something familiar, something that could have been.
it only feels right to resume what he'd had a mere twenty-four hours to share before jb and the church: his lessons on being a gentleman.]
Not quite--have you had a chance to thank your secret admirer yet?
I merely wanted to offer a chance to pick up where we left off. I can hardly send you into the wild with only a proper martini in your repertoire and feel right about it.
[ Spoken like someone who's been quietly observing him from afar.
He'll always make time for you, Harry. ]
maybe it should always be a certain day of the week? that way I'll know and you'll know not to plan anything else for that day and it'll always happen no matter what
[ Not that he needs Harry as a constant in his life or anything... ]
[well. when he puts it that way there's no doubt he's still committed to this in some way, and harry feels that flare of fondness pulling at his chest again. after all it is endearing how enthusiastic eggsy can be when he puts his mind to it, mixed with the dangerous combination of harry's need to show off and impress.]
7 pm until 9, Tuesday evenings, how does that sound?
You mean to tell me you knew all manner of risks involved in willingly blowing up a microwave and you bloody well did it anyway, for shits and giggles?
And I suppose this is why you're roughing it on Charles' couch.

Only if you're interested, of course.

[ if you catch his drift. ]
is there still a lot I need to learn?
[ eggsy you don't even know how to feed yourself without using a microwave... ]

[did harry just make a joke about balls. maybe.]
There's a lot we might all learn as gentlemen, myself included. The lessons only get shorter with age, but they never really have a closing chapter.
Interested?

Cooking, Eggsy. Unless you consider that beneath you as well.

[ Eggsy just had the weirdest image of himself dressed as a french maid... ]
actually that'd be really helpful because if I blow up another microwave and I'm out of money to eat out then I'm fucked
